Tip: To minimize textbook costs, rent from sites like Chegg or buy used if you want to keep them. Also, think about using e-books to decrease costs and the weight of your backpack.

Tip: Try going digital! Many professors post their slides online and you can use apps like Evernote to take notes in class and stay organized. However, in some classes you may be better off the old-fashioned way.

Tip: Get Tide pods instead of liquid detergent for a more convenient (and fun) way to do laundry!

Tip: Invest in a dust buster to store easily and clean the hard to reach areas in your dorm room.

Tip: Get a microfiber cloth! They’re great for cleaning screens and getting dust off of pretty much anything.

Tip: Buy the cheapest pair you can find to wear inside the shower so you don’t mind throwing them out at the end of the year (or earlier).

Tip: TCNJ’s campus can get some pretty big puddles. You don’t want to sit through class with uncomfortably wet socks!

Tip: No posters? No problem! TCNJ has a poster sale a couple of weeks into each semester.
